This was made for the game "King of the Hat".
Balloon City is the opposite of The Void. It's the heaven of this universe, and where the hat god lives (who is represented by the hat in the center).
I wanted the scene to look appropriately heavenly, while also being a companion piece to The Void. I did this by reusing some design elements - the stars, the swirling clouds, and the slowly spinning background (only visible in-game). Over the course of one game, the colours shift from those in the first image to those in the second.
